This vessel demonstrates the power and agility of electric propulsion in a higher-demand RIB application. By integrating DC Rapid charging and liquid cooled thermal management for the battery system EVParts provides a versitile solution ready for future Hydrogen Fuel Cell Range extending.

  • System: 120kW eOutboard / 60kWh Battery Pack.

  • Application: Performance coaching, safety support, port authority, and eco-sensitive waterway transit.

  • Result: Improved crew comfort through reduced noise and vibration, paired with significant savings on fuel and maintenance.

Harbour Patrol Electrification

 

Demonstrating the versatility of the EVParts marine integration range, this Orkney 520 was retrofitted for professional harbour use.

  • System: 6kW eOutboard / 14kWh Battery Pack.

  • Application: Constant low-to-medium speed patrolling with high-capacity reserve for duty cycles.

  • Result: Significant reduction in operational overheads and a major step toward a carbon-neutral port environment.

ElectroNaut Research Vessel: Smart Prediction for Electric Fleets

Funded by Innovate UK, the ElectroNaut project represents the cutting edge of EVParts’ marine R&D. By analyzing the complex interplay between environmental factors and electric drivetrains, we are building the software infrastructure for the future of zero-emission waterways.

  • Advanced Telemetry: Measures the impact of environmental variables (current, wind speed, wave height) on the 14kWh energy storage system.

  • Propulsion Testing: Utilizes a 6kW eOutboard to benchmark performance across varied duty cycles.

Electric Passenger Ferry

The e-Voyager project in Plymouth Sound serves as a benchmark for EVParts’ commercial integration capabilities. By replacing a traditional 60HP diesel engine with our bespoke 400V electric drive system, we achieved:

  • Zero Emissions: Full removal of diesel exhaust and noise pollution from the Plymouth-to-Cremyll route.

  • Optimized Efficiency: Integrated with high-precision Teignbridge propellers to maximize range and performance.

  • Smart Charging: Designed for seamless 22kW charging, allowing the vessel to operate a full day of service with zero downtime.
